St. Kentigerns Church, Caldbeck

In the centre of Caldbeck village within the lake District National Park St. Kentigerns church is of Norman origin, though a church is known to have been on the site since the 6th century.  Having been responsible for the quinquennial inspections for many years Johnston and Wright were appointed to undertake alteration works to the internal spaces within the church.

Increasing the church’s use as a community hub a new prayer room together with kitchen and WC facilities were created within the existing aisles and pews were removed from the rear of the Nave to create a gathering space.  Works were completed in 2014.
